Like I mentioned above, Permanent Marker brings a lot to the table genetically. Originating from a dank combination of Biscotti, Sherb BX and Jealousy strains, this fella is no slouch when it comes to dynamic effects and terpenes. Crafted and unleashed upon the world in 2022 by the folks of Doja Exclusive in Los Angeles, it has become the pride of their genetic stable, with almost universal acclaim being directed towards it’s balanced and heavy effects. Plus, in terms of aesthetics, it’s just so frickan pretty. Featuring swathes of purple goodness and dark green buds interspersed with delightfully orange pistils, the look of this strain practically screams potency and flavour. Which brings us to…

When it comes to weed, looking pretty means nothing if there’s no substance to back things up. Thankfully, Permanent Marker comes through on that end in spades. It is considered a high potency strain, regularly coming in at over 25% THC. I’ve also yet to have an offering of this beauty that hasn’t been above 2% terpenes which (if you recall from our blog on the importance of terpenes) is great cause the features of this bad boy deserve to be celebrated. It has an aroma that’s both sweet and pungent, resembling – you guessed it- the smell of a permanent marker. Featuring a soapy sweet taste and a gassy finish, it’s unique flavour is a hallmark of it’s genetic diversity.

Due to it’s high potency, the effects on this strain tend to be pretty intense, with it being a favorite of seasoned stoners for whom the lower THC options are insufficient. This also incidentally makes it a potentially excellent choice for people looking for relief from chronic pain, depression or mood swings. For those who haven’t yet achieved a tolerance that renders many other strains impotent, you might want to avoid diving too deeply into this strain until your experience leaves you better prepared.
